Katapult is a nice program, but if you don't use KDE or do use it but would like something lighter I recommend gmrun: http://www.bazon.net/mishoo/gmrun.epl

Unlike the default "run command" dialogs this one features tab completion. When you start typing a command and press tab you'll get all the commands starting with the letters you typed in a drop down menu. You can also run full commands in it such as adding options to programs you are executing.

In short, I love it.

Cheers

Hey, that's pretty cool! Thanks.

Now I gotta tweak it out for my setup.

hmm, I've always (since I found it) preferred fbrun. I usually have it mapped to 'winkey c'.

I was using fbrun, it's nice for a plain runner.

I like the tab completion and program assignments in gmrun.

Hooray for choice! :)
