Funny how "we won't have them" which seems like a decision becomes a policy vacuum. It gives the impression that it is only a discussion that is over and done once they are granted and supported. |

> It gives the impression that it is only a discussion that is over and done once they are granted and supported. And now you've worked out how the ever-encroaching state maintains and expands it's power. Government power always seeks to expand, never contract, and debate is only closed once it gets its way. This is one more way of the government expanding its power. The fact that major corporations are the beneficiaries on this occasion is beside the point. There will always be those that benefit and push for any expansion of government power. But this is an old story, told many times, and the outcome seldom changes, and the battle is never truly won. |
