SouthBridge Intel ICH8 doesn't support AHCI

If SouthBridge on mentioned board is exactly ICH8, then it doesn't support AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface), Intel ICH8R supports AHCI , view http://intel.com for details. Actually ,Intel ICH8 does only IDE emulation So, you have only option of using IDE CDROM attached to Jmicron's JMB 36(X) PATA port , because SATA ports on the board driven by Intel ICH8 just emulate IDE.

Having BIOS settings for ICH8 installed to "IDE Emulation" I would try to install:-

1. Solaris 10 or Solaris Express (any build) 2. openSUSE 10.2 3. CentOS 5.0
