State-by-state skirmishes over open-source document formats represent the latest showdown in a long-running, and so far unsuccessful, campaign to topple Microsoft's sheer dominance of the desktop software application market. -------------- There is nothing about source code in open formats. ODF can be implemented by all, including M$ is they wished (or dared). Who's campaigning? Sun did w/ StarOffice I guess you could say but most Linux users are simply running what they want. |
