Do you know how many coders could be sponsored from 350K? Put the money into code, not cheesy promotions. Signed, The Grumpy Admin |

Moreover, we don't want to associate Firefox with pollution and far too much noise, do we? |

Moreover, we don't want to associate Firefox with pollution and far too much noise, failing technology (maybe) and (car) crashes, do we? |

>failing technology (maybe) and (car) crashes, do we? I don't know -- doesn't see to have hurt IE. |

Apparently, Hans isn't into smash-em-up derby. |

A race car (F1 of course) in full Firefox livery would look great. But if cars are too expensive why not Superbikes or F1 bikes. |

> Superbikes or F1 bikes Now you're talking :D |

A Ducati with full Firefox livery would look nice. |

Well, Ducati are 'trendy', but, how about something that actually works ;-) |

Why not a NASCAR? will use too much gas? Yes More pollution? Of course and just exactly where is our electricity that allows the Internet and software in its entirety to exist coming from? Coal, Gasoline, Oil, Natural Gas, Nuclear Power..stuff that makes pollution. My exhale is pollution.. I say that advertising is advertising and where the most people will see it is where it should go. I think they should do it. You can say that at its very least it is a public service. Using Firefox instead of IE will make you safer, like locking your doors at night, wearing your seatbelt safer.. Its not the the answer to everything, but using it will help. |

>::Sniff:: People say that about Linux too. Maybe so, but I'm not aware of anything in Linux named Hypermotard. |

Quoting:Why not a NASCAR?Even better, they could silkscreen a bunch of tube tops to be handed out at NASCAR events. It's cheaper and it would give them more, um, exposure. |

Maybe this http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2006/05/10/radial-engine-p... would be more suitable and a bilboard for Firefox. |

Sponsoring a race car costs way too much. But there is way to convey the same excitement and sense of urgency at a much lower cost- sponsor a high-fiber food product, like stewed prunes, fiber pills, psyllium... |

> a high-fiber food product, like stewed prunes, fiber pills, psyllium... Wow! you run with a real hi energy group... Exciting indeed ;-) |
dcparris Mar 20, 2007 1:28 PM EDT |
Well, if you want to really heat up the action, sponsor Viagra, and all those 'male enhancement' things I've been seeing on t.v. lately. |
