The article reads a bit like a press release. While I did not see any factual inaccuracies in the article, I did see high expectations. This is always a bad idea when it comes to software. Anyone else beta-testing RHEL5? Since it is based largely on FC6, as the article points out, open FC6 bugs may affect RHEL5. At https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?product=Fed... you can see the 2400 open public FC6 bugs. At https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?product=Red... you can see the 427 open public bugs against RHEL5 B1, B2, and RC1. Hint: Shut off selinux (selinux=0 on kernel command line) and remove yum's rhnplugin to get a more stable system. |
