I've been using Informix for over 15 years. When IBM bought the company they were looking for a user base to convert to DB2. Surprise! They found a fanatically loyal user base that loves the way this product runs. IBM has come around to positioning Informix Dynamic Server as their lead OLTP product, and have actually started marketing it a bit. It's good to see this product appreciated again. DT |
