5:24 PM EDT 		There are no specifics here, just PR. I'd really love to see an example of some interoperability issue that was solved by the Novell-ms deal. AFAICT nothing has changed, other than a reported transfer of funds between the 2 companies, and some more trash talk by Ballmer.

All interoperability issues are exactly as they were beforehand: Insofar as, and to the extent that microsoft implements standard protocols, interoperability succeeds. In places where microsoft fails to implement the standards, interoperability is hampered. end of story.
