Digikam is really nice. I'm still on a quest for a good Linux photo printer app- anyone have any brilliant suggestions? My biggest problem is printing borderless, or defining borders precisely. I can do it in Digikam, but it takes a lot of fussing and figuring out exact pixels. |

My old Epson 870 is getting a little cranky on me, but the experience has absolutely sold me on Epson photo printers, or, at least, those not at the bottom of the line. The 870 was the printer around which the Gimp-Print project originally started and Epsons have always been especially well-supported, even though the project is now GutenPrint. |

I have a good printer- Canon Pixma with turbo-print drivers. My problem is sizing my images for print. I want a photo-printing app where I can pointy-click "4x6 borderless, automatically scale image", or "5x7 with a 1/4" border" and not have to fuss with getting the dimensions exactly right manually. I've tried printing from the Gimp, but so far it has defeated me. I cannot bend it to my will. |
