We talked about this last T-Dose conference (9 days back), and I heard more news from even bigger Dutch municipalities may follow. Also, little municipalities may join coming Thursday. I'll try to keep our readers informed, as soon as I have more information. The municipalities ask for 'independence of supplier', transparency, verifiability, interoperability and digital 'durability'. Open Source / Free Software is not mentioned in the manifest, but it is clear these goals can't be reached without Open Source software and Open Standards. |
