So are they saying they were just gonna wait until a virus took advantage of the bug and hosed a bunch of systems before they were gonna fix it? Or are they just doing the whiny kid cuz people aren't playing by their rules again routine? Or both?

fix it? Oh come on now, we really got to do that! We only want to issue these maintenance patches ever year or so... This just isn't playing by the rules :-p

This is good news.

This is part of Microsoft and Intel's deal from hell...a portion of The TCM or Trusted Computing Module. (See the ViiV chip from Intel). The sooner this aberration is beaten and left for dead in the ditch, the sooner Mega-Companies will realize "We dun need no stinkin' Trusted Computing.
