Hey all,

In my first efforts to show photos, I got a bit of criticism for linking directly to the full photos, or not having the size just right, etc. I was wondering what everyone thought of the way I presented photos in this story. Is this an improvement? Should I make the thumbnails a little bigger? Or should I assume the lack of constructive criticism means I hit the nail on the head?

Thanks, Don

Yeah, I know. I've put a better camera on my wishlist for Christmas. One can hope.

There really aren't that many good ways to do photos. Your approach is fine.

As to the pictures themselves, a couple of them showed why you like to have a camera that will let you control exposure manually from time to time, but, otherwise, were also fine.

The only improvement I could imagine is a bunch of hot booth babes, but I don't think that was booth babe kind of gathering, was it?

You mean the penguins didn't do it for you?

I like penguins, but I think I'd really rather see them running free :)

Jimf:

OK, so the sun is setting (or possibly rising) behind the penguins. So, why are the shadows pointing away from the viewer?

chalk it up to artistic licence :)

Here's the correction for those insisting on traditional perspective :)

Ah, that old excuse huh? :) Seriously, it's good, but the shadows ruined the suspension of disbelief.
