But how can anyone be productive with the MVC design and Java? I've done a simple book store in both Tomcat and Struts, and most of the work went to replicating the classes and its interfaces in various files and writing lots of XML configuration files. At least 90% of the development time went to pure BS. I could have been a lot more productive if I had been allowed to write it in Python or Ruby, even PHP, but nooo, they wanted it to be written in Java using MVC. Stupid ****s. MVC is definitely overrated, so is Java servlets. P.S. Sorry for the colourful language. |

I know what you mean - so much of j2ee web development is spent just generating boilerplate nonsense, something you never have to deal with in something like php... |
