What do they mean only desktop software than can burn mp3s?

I have a feeling that their wording is ambiguous, as any desktop burning software can do exactly that.

Are they referring to some integration that allows one-click music-source -> mp3 -> cd ?

That certainly would be nice, but is hardly the same thing.

Hmmm. K3B can burn mp3 to cd, as long you get the rebuilt version from packmans site (for SuSE).

How is Banshee going to "support Windows Media" files without the (proprietary?) codecs? So no "proprietary code" in kernel modules but Windows codecs are OK?

Or are there open source codecs that can play windows media files?
