I just want say congratulations to novell - I bought 10.1 when it came out and aside from the update problems which seem to have subsided it is a solid distribution. I have been using the Xgl for the past two and I am mighty accustomed to it now. all on a little 64 meg ati 700 video card without any proprietary drivers. thanks novell!! I remember the mid 90's when slackware and redhat were the only game in town but now we have all these beautiful distros out that provide choice and flexibility to meet the users needs. I haven't used windows since 95 first came out and I just don't have a need for it and I never will (of course it forced down my throat at work because it is the "standard"). but I do not allow it my house and none of my personal household budget will go towards microsoft - ever! |
