Am I missing something here? The version I have installed on my Linux box is free.

Obviously, you are. The version I installed on my Linux box is not Free, but it cost me nothing. ;-)

Ahh, I see. He meant free when I thought he actually meant free. How foolish of me.

Seriously, if people insist on using the word "free" for both freedom and no-cost then they need to identify what they mean at the time they say it. I thought we got past that years ago.

Like NoDough, I try to use free for free and Free for Free. :)

I.E., free is no cost, Free is FOSS.
