[I checked their custom configuration page and you really can select Fedora or Ubuntu. The bad news is, either will cost $90, about $5 less than that closed, legacy system from whats-its-name. -- grouch] True, they charge to install Linux, but you can elect to not have an OS installed... the cost is $0.00. I agree that $90.00 seems a bit steep for a free OS, but they also appear to charge full retail for M$ operating systems. Monarch should be applauded for not drinking the M$ kool-aid and forcing Windows on us. That is why I bought my last computer there (with no OS = $0.00) and quickly installed SUSE. That was the easiest $90.00 I ever saved. |
