some fixes, but some new problems

The new driver fixes the screen blanking wakeup bug on my laptop, which is a good thing. Unfortunately, it breaks on any 1280x1024 configuration, and I'm forced to back off on the resolution in order for X to work at all. The fonts are jagged and the sizes are all wrong, so I've dumped the 8756 driver and gone back to the 8178, except for my laptop. |

Hmmmm. I've compiled and installed the 8756 driver this morning (Debian, must compile myself although the source is provided) but I haven't restarted X yet. Now I'm just a leeeeeetle bit nervous. Hmmm.... |

Well, it only seems to be a problem with 1280x1024 - if you're at some other resolution, you may be fine with the new nvidia driver. |
