The CentOS guys were way too kind. After explaining nicely the first time the situation and maybe I would have contacted his IT people for him. But after the threat of calling the FBI, I would have told him to go ahead and do it. "I am computer literate! I have 22 years in computer systems engineering and operation. Now, can you tell me how to remove 'your software' that you acknowledge you provided free of charge? I consider this 'hacking.'" This is an idiot if I have ever seen one. I have zero tolerance for morons, especially threatening morons. |

Funny as that was (and a little sad), I couldn't help thinking what would have happened for a different OS. Think of the fun if he'd written Theo de Raadt :-) |
