>'Even five years back, the very thought of "browsing the net" gave us a visual of the Internet Explorer.' Maybe for the author, but I'm not in that "us". I've had to touch that rotten thing maybe 5 times since 1998 and then only long enough to get something better. I can't even stand to use Konqueror because it uses that silly, illogical, cartoon hand as a pointer. |

Understand where this was written and the intended audience, and I mean no disrespect when I say that. I wish I could say that I have not used IE since 98'. I still have to go over to friends who still run M$ in order to complete my 'call reports'. The website that I have to do my 'call reports' on will ONLY WORK with IE. I have tried every other browser out there, but not a single one of them will work except IE. I have tried to get them(my work) to change, I'll let you guess how I have faired. There are those who are still discovering what is possible when considering 'options' outside of Windows. Remember, just cause your late to the party, doesn't mean that you don't want to be there. :-) |

You'll have an almost fully functional IE running under Linux. Yeah, I know the very thought causes discomfort, but if it saves you time and effort, it's probably worth it. I have it working here on Slackware, so I sure it will work on your distribution of choice. |
