""There are a lot fewer applications that run on Linux, and this may affect the acceptance," said Frank Shi, an analyst at CLSA in Hong Kong. "But price is the key. The growth rate" what is he talking about? has he looked at the debian repository lately. there are tons more applications that run on linux than windows. what he probably meant to say was there are less proprietary expensive commercial spyware loaded applications that run on linux than windows. |

He's just repeating the desperate lies that need to be told to try to frighten people away from this. Missing out on this is going to bite Microsoft on the rear end, everyday, forever. Maybe the greed has finally caused a decision SO bad that there's no real way back. Microsoft backed the wrong horse and now the betting office is closed. |

> Microsoft backed the wrong horse and now the betting office is closed. Fortunately for Microsoft shareholders, the betting office will never close. They will always be able to wake up and switch to FOSS. All it will take is a change in management and the accompanying change in corporate culture. It will never happen with the Gates/Ballmer hydra in charge though. |
