RIM did not say they where against software patents even though they were just a victim of some obviously bogus ones. In other words they want the system fixed so they can still charge for obvious 1's and 0's while protecting companies such as themselves from patent trolls like NTP. MMMMmmmmm fun. |

Well, it tells you something when the Register refers to RIM as "lawsuits in motion". They have a long history of being the suer in these type of actions, now that they're the suee, they suddenly decide they don't like the system quite as much as they did. |

Either way, I think the only thing people will see is "patent reform" and that gives us a little lever. So the sheeple out there might just get a soundbyte but that may be to our advantage. |

The system is imperfect when you're getting sued. The system is broken when I'm getting sued. :-) |
