"the very essence of our republic is at stake. " is an understatement. The fate of the whole world is at stake. Billions are spent on licensing, malware wars, and maintenance that is largely a net loss. The damage to the economy from lack of innovation because upstarts are killed off and choices are limited is even larger. The size of the problems caused by Microsoft are so enormous many governments just duck and cover. They do nothing. Citizens of the world must demand that governments and businesses everywhere switch to FLOSS. |
