I've been out of the office almost all day today, but I am preparing a second posting to go onto the newswire about the logo thing. Firstly, it'll be an apology for the german symbolism. That was not intention, and as Bjorn accurately said, we didn't think of it at all. We are young enough that these kinds of symbols aren't in our consciousness. That was something I wish I could go back and change, but what's done is done and we can only move forward (this time in the right direction) Secondly, I'm glad that I posted looking for feedback. This is the strength of the Linux community. Thirdly, I welcome everyone's collaboration on making a good logo for LXer. More later. dave |
