Ditch it in favour of Debian. You'll be glad you did.

I don't know. I can see Debian on servers and totally get that. But, I prefer Ubuntu for the desktop.

If Debian is about as reliable as you can get for a server, then it seems to me that to have it on the desktop is the only logical conslusion.

Personally, KDE 3.3 on Debian Sarge is as near to perfect as I'm going to get.

Though I do like, as I've said before, the Ubuntu philosophy.

I agree if you like KDE. I basically just need a window manager, a browser and a word processor for the majority of my work. Occassionally I use graphics programs. I used KDE exclusively until Gnome 2.2-2.4. Debian is fun and stable as you say. I just don't like the desktop effort that much and Ubuntu seems to pick up the slack.
