I periodically check the statistics of browser shares on webreference.com site http://www.webreference.com/. (Down to the right) For yesterday's total of 48770 unique hits at http://www.webreference.com/stats/browser.html FF 33.22% & IE 44.26% This is not a typical, but it sure is an indication of Web developers adopting FF more and more. |

There is more than 14% not accounted for even by an "other" listing. Curious what tops one percent. Or are they just removing the bot patrol? Your title: Strange? Not really, seen this months ago on non-technical sites where Ff was in the 30% range and Linux use was LOW. |

"Strange Statistics" was the title of my original post. It is a long story, but the bottom line is, someone was changing the stats yesterday's. that should not happen. One time I looked at it, they were what you see in the post, I looked at it gain, it was changed. when I was ready to post, and between checking the links in the post, the stats went back to the original values. Any way, on that site, FF share, for a long time, has been about 23%, only today they jumped to 33%. I guarantee you it will be back around 23% by tomorrow. It is either a problem with the code, or someone is changing it at will. |
