unless PC World has changed drastically would anyone put any credence in their quality assessment picks? Moreover, does anyone really read either PC World or PC Magazine to learn about computers? Just asking, since I long ago ceased reading the latter and only quickly scanned links to the former, while not taking anything either asserted very seriously. |

True story: back during my mercifully short-lived ZDNet career, I had a PC Magazine review tacked above my desk. It was an absolute classic, and I wish I still had it. It was from a roundup/review of a batch of PCs from different vendors. As near as I can recall, it concluded: "We could not get the review machine to boot. A good value for the business user." |
