http://asic-linux.com.mx/~izto/checkinstall/ Checkinstall provides an easy way to make an RPM from sources, which is nice if you want to use standard RPM utilities to install/upgrade/remove/query, and also to make your RPM database aware of the new libs you've installed. It does Debian and Slackware packages too. |

PackMan has both nicely packaged as RPM for various versions of SuSE: Sword: http://packman.links2linux.org/index.php4?action=623&vn=1 BibleTime: http://packman.links2linux.org/index.php4?action=624&vn=1 Just left-click on the RPM and "Install package with YaST" and "Accept". |

I have apt installed, and packman configured in the sources.list, so it was easiest to just say "apt-get install bibletime", and we're all done. Thanks for the info, it's always good to have more options... |
