Could be very nice, though the references to Python scare me just a bit -- and I love Python. This whole piece could have been written about Arts (albeit for sound only), and may have been, just a few years ago. Video editing is very demanding stuff, and the road from design to good implementation working well has more than a few potholes. That is why Cinelerra remains the only serious video editing option for Linux. Let's see how well these guys do in traversing the road from being impressed with their own great idea and talking to a few people to making something that will do serious work. |
