I think what the author means is "this is a familiar interface and doesn't use any terms that someone ready to graduate from a primary school would find confusing" with the implied subtext "but if I really understood what it was doing or not doing, I'd run away screaming".

Linux servers are more work to get into, but of course there are more tools available when you do. There's a reason that reprobates plan break into banks rather than junkyards.
