http://linuxtoday.com/developer/2000021100305OP Boldly bookmarked it! When the story ran here at LXer, we already discussed, it was the best example of MS unethical moral, and we should bookmark it for people asking 'What did MS ever do to you?' Especially read the comments, and out of the comments, especially don't forget the next one: http://linuxtoday.com/news_story.php3?ltsn=2000-02-11-003-05... |

The comment by the Costa Rican dude is interesting. Consider this analogy, based on what he said: "In Costa Rica there was a war, and many people were hurt. The bandage manufacturer's local representative, seeing this, discounted his bandages and didn't press the injured for payment until they'd healed. "In El Salvador, there was a war, and many people were hurt. Before the rubble was finished bouncing, the bandage manufacturer was in the field... checking that top dollar was being paid up front for every bandage and slinging everyone who couldn't show a receipt (including hospital staff) into the brig. "Meanwhile, back in the bandage manufacturer's own country, large companies and government departments freely steal bandages, and the bandage maker can't see a problem with this" |
