Until we can figure out how to eliminate most if not all Free and/or Open Source options.

Late we will figure out how to recoup our costs.

As most here are probably aware, Bill Gates said this about the Chinese:

"As long as they are going to steal it [software], we want them to steal ours. They'll get sort of addicted, and then we'll somehow figure out how to collect sometime in the next decade."

So I guess MS has decided to "Cut Off Our Air Supply" (like they did to Netscape) and "Knife The Baby" (Ditto).

Paraphrasing Admiral Kirk in The Wrath of Kahn:

"I'll say this for them: They're consistent."

Showing people your code isn't a shift to an open paradigm. I don't think they really get it.

From what I read, it's not even *Free Software*. They're once again redefining words to spread FUD. It's only a pledge to give Windows for free (*freeware*), but nowhere is an indication that any code will be shown to anyone. Indeed, it's IE vs. Netscape all over again.
