whoever wrote that article obviously has no idea what it takes to get the FDA's approval for a medication. You generally have to "prove" that it (a) does no harm and (b) actually does something useful. And you have to demonstrate it by doing many experiments and keeping strict records of what you do. The "hacking research" he mentions can only be part of a very initial feasibility test. But after it come years of costly experiments before you can actually do something useful with your medication. |
