16 bit, 32 bit, and DMA

My understanding is that if DMA transfers are enabled for the drive, the 16/32 bit flag is irrelevant, as it only applies to non-DMA transfers. BTW, this refers to the ide controller to pci bus interface. Transfers over the ribbon cable are always 16 bit. |
