Yes, this is quite funny!
On one side IBM & co are fighting against MS in this monopoly.
On the other hand IBM is fighting with MS for software-patents, also in the EU.
Just Self-interest. But this is good, since Sun was already bought of to stop it supporting EC in this case. This group containing IBM and Nokia will be more difficult to buy, I think. Not only Microsoft deploys jobs in EU, Nokia and IBM deploy probably more jobs! A big turning point in this monopoly case, I think. Because MS has people lobbying in European politics, and the counterlobby always consisted of pro-Linux semi-ffii people. European politicians aren't impressed by them. But they are by IBM and Nokia lobbyists. So, let's see what this will bring! |
