Helix is portable (ie, it's just as much a Windows bug); Arkeia is portable (ie, not just a Linux bug) and NWFusion seem to have had trouble settling on a spelling for it; the supposed bsmtpd "an SMTP mailer component of the Sendmail and Postfix e-mail server packages" flaw is just nutso - SendMail and Postfix have no common components, bsmtpd is a separate (and AFAICT not widely used) package; phpWebsite is portable (ie, it's just as much a Windows bug). None of these involve a privesc. None have known exploits. I believe the correct idiom is "storm in a teacup". Secunia and then even more so this reporter in a bid for fame. |
