I wonder how licensing for servers connected to Co-Linux box are treated. I mean, suppose you have a Windows server running Co-Linux, and you load Samba on it and use it as a Windows file server. Is it not providing file services to a bunch of Windows clients on your network? Do you owe CAL licensing for each of the clients, or is this a fancy way around that?

One of the benefits of truly Free Software -- the stupidity of some of this client license nonsense for extremely trivial computing (file services -- there's some real bleeding edge technology!) are put in their place.

Or are they under CoLinux ? Probably a question for a Lawyer.

Too bad there are none present here at the moment :)
