The embedded software platform market seems to be shaking down into very few alternatives, and some embedded manufacturers are bright enough to look at history and realise that Microsoft don't exactly have a squeaky-clean record with regard to screwing over their OEMs. It's very much in the OEMs' interests to keep embedded Linux alive and prominent, even if only as obvious insurance against abuse by Microsoft. |
