CBS used to be on my list of on line news sites I would check, however, I caught an error and wrote informing them that they were decimating a falsehood. I think it had something to do with free or open source software.

To date, and it has been months I got zero response - nonetheless they reprinted the same bit of incorrect information. So I just deleted them from my bookmarks.

Regarding the author, I know nothing about him and I was not displeased with the writeup. It was an opinion piece not a technical review of Firefox. He seemed to stress business issues. The Firefox features mentioned were to explain how it has and would gain market share.

My distrust does not stem from their supposed error outlining Bush's missing National Guard service - anyone facing the draft at that time knew only the connected got in.

I think that the Big Corporate ownership of CBS (Viacom, and not that ABC/Disney, NBC/General Electric are any better) should disqualify CBS as a serious source of news. It's pretty clear by now that Chomsky is right about corporate news sources...
