QEMU?

I don't quite understand the need for QEMU. If the machine is compromised as they probably assume when they think QEMU is needed how will you get stuff securely in and out? What I mean there could still be Keylogging software running or Tempest sensors for the screen. |

You're right, of course, but that's not the goal here. It's a highly portable and customized environment wherever you go. If you don't trust a machine, it's probably best to carry around a live CD and reboot to that software, and THEN you can run your personal envrironment off the virtual CPU-on-a-stick. Then you know everything that is running on the machine. Until, that is. they figure out how to createl hardware virii residing in flash memory and PROMS, etc. |
