I interviewed this company for Forbes, Inc. had several take aways that I liked. First, Marc Fleury is committed to an open source model. He says "here's the product, use it, develop with it and use it to bundle in your own products -- no cost. Secondly, the managed the demand and made money by training enterprises and finally having his developers man the support phones. He makes his money by selling support contracts. He uses the money to expand his business. His business is made up of a team. Finally, I did a background check on Fleury and some of his executives and they have impressive credentials. I've also seen negative comments about JBoss and have heard people saying they're difficult people with whom to deal. But when push comes to shove, they have a difficult time pinning down the exact person and the exact complaint. So, I like them and would do business with them. |
