While Solaris may be better than Linux in some respects, it will never have freedom. In the long run, I'll vote for freedom. |

I believe Linux is better than Solaris in many more ways than Solaris is better than Linux. In fact I can't think of a single way that Solaris is better than Linux except for possibly how it performs on large Sun hardware but Sun could surely make Linux run just as good as Solaris on large Sun hardware. If they did this and supported Linux it would be easier on application vendors to have apps that run on Sun, POWER, x86, etc. |
