Although a lot of software is free these days, unless you’re using Linux, you’re still going to have to drop some cash on an operating system upgrade.

For serious technology users, the cost of upgrading isn’t such an issue because not only do we usually want the latest and greatest, but in most cases, we actually need it for work reasons. OS upgrades don’t come around all that often, and since I’d personally have to buy them regardless of the cost, I don’t really make an issue out of the price.
