Many private sector companies are not likely to join the OSS bandwagon unless they can see their competitors using the opportunity to make profit. "The private sector has more issues to worry about -- namely escalation of employee costs, foreign competition, shrinking market size, less mega-projects and environmental problems," said Open Source Special Interest Group chairman Lee Nan Phin.
