Competitors feeling the heat as Microsoft overwhelms their markets just don't get it. Microsoft is fleeing a much bigger, implacable horde. There is no escape. Resistance is futile.

Email Battles has been fascinated by the shoving match between the IBM Lotus Notes/Domino and Microsoft Exchange teams as Redmond tries to escape the clutches of the not-so-plain anymore Open Source & Windows mailserver crowd. While Lotus fiddles with critics, Microsoft spends a fortune to market its route to higher ground.
