A Firefox Extension called Fasterfox is a Must Have
Sometimes people wonder how come developers don't include performance hacks in their products. Several reasons exist and the one most often quoted says that: We want to provide the best options for the range of platforms we serve. So, I usually wind up with about:config in the address bar of my Firefox browser. Thanks to Tony Gentilcore my Ubuntu 5.10 Firefox package now runs like it should have in the first place. This is a must package for people who complain about slow start-ups and hangs. I can even watch and see how fast pages load from the bottom bar in my browser.
