Mepis Linux just announced a partnership with Technalign. Technalign was previously the US distributor for Mandriva (formally Mandrake). Technalign's partnership with Mepis places the distribution in retail stores, preinstalled with hardware and in the hands of some very large companies such as Computer Associates.

Mepis Linux just announced a partnership with Technalign. Technalign was previously the US distributor for Mandriva (formally Mandrake). Technalign's partnership with Mepis places the distribution in retail stores, preinstalled with hardware and in the hands of some very large companies such as Computer Associates. Technalign was a large percentage of profit for Mandrake and is a huge win for Mepis. No information was given on why Technalign chose Mepis over Mandriva.
