Sun updates JDS Linux

The Linux Desktop Team at Sun Microsystems has updated Release 2 with numerous patches.

Sun released 20 patches to its Java Desktop System for Linux. Several of the patches are back ports of Mozilla and CUPs to achieve increased performance and support for a wider number of applications. They include:

Also, the JDSHelp.org Community site has added 28 new RPMs to its repository, which augments the JDS distribution's standard application set.



The JDSHelp.org Community site also has made available the LiveCD ISO for JDS R2. The JDS Linux distribution is Sun's default enterprise desktop.
