Dr Tony Young appointed Senior Asia/Pacific Editor

It is with great pleasure that I announce that Dr. Tony Young, aka Ridcully, has accepted an appointment to the LXer post of Senior Asia/Pacific Editor effective immediately.

Tony has been an active member of LXer since October 2009 when he became an immediate contributor to the community discussion. His enthusiasm and commitment to Linux and Free/Open Source Software was clear to us all. As time went on, he took up notebook and word processor, in order to express his thoughts on a variety of topics and to put them into published form.

Since June 2013 he has been serving as a Contributing Editor. During this time he has published additional articles and has done his part to keep the LXer newswire active 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.

In his new capacity as Senior Asia/Pacific Editor, he will be keeping one eye focussed on his corner of the world helping to keep us up to date and informed on the Linux and Free/Open Source Software developments in that region.
